Alice Elizabeth Loscheider

ALICE ELIZABETH LOSCHEIDER, age 82 of Grand Rapids, MN passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on March 18, 2012 in Grand Rapids, MN. Alice was born in St. Cloud, MN on June 29, 1929 to Peter and Julia Weyrens. She met and married the love of her life, Robert Loscheider, in 1949 and raised seven children together.

She was active in St. Joseph’s school, cub scouts, campfire Girls and many community groups. Her hobbies included playing bridge, quilting, cooking and spending time at the cabin. She spent hours at church playing the organ, singing in the choir, tending to the candles and alter cloths and sewing many banners and other décor for the church. She also sang bass with the Sweet Adeline’s.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Elizabeth Anne; a grandson, Stephen Cordes; two sisters, Marian Cagle and Beth Meados; and one brother, Peter.

She is survived by her husband, Robert and children, Tom (Marsha) Loscheider, Julie (Ken) Cordes, Wendy Loscheider, Nancy Loscheider, Barb (Steve) Johnson, Ann Loscheider, and Steve (Chris) Loscheider; two sisters, Margaret Palmquist of Tacoma, WA and Barbara (Jim) Sura of Grand Rapids, MN; two brothers, Jack (Kate) Weyrens of Stillwater, MN and Jim (Peg) Weyrens of Grand Rapids, MN; eleven grandchildren, Jason, Matt, Molly, Sarah, Kelly, Justin, James, Brian, Jenn, Alex and Pete; plus ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening, March 22nd from 4 pm until 6 pm at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grand Rapids and will continue on Friday, March 23rd from 10 am until the 11 am Mass of Christian Burial also at St. Josephs’s Catholic Church. Rev. Jerry Weiss will officiate.

Burial will be in Itasca-Calvary Cemetery in Grand Rapids, MN.
