I remember getting called into see him beginning of freshman year he was putting together a madrigal group I walk in said hi mr Haynes and he said do you have a cold I said no he said I guess you won't be singing tenor for me any more. He was one of my favorite teachers and a great example for so many of us through the years.

Mr. Haynes instilled in my family, a love of music. First, in my mother, then in me. His legacy continues to live on in my children who have learned to love music as well. Thank you, Mr. Haynes, for the gift of song.

Mr. Haynes was my music/choir instructor at ISD 319 and I have many fond memories of him. I still remember specific songs that I had sung while in choir. Whenever I hear them on the radio I flash back to the time when we were singing them together. Please accept my condolences for the loss of a fine man. May your memories help you through these hard days ahead.
